Basil

Basil is one of the popular herbs in salad mixes and belongs to the mint family. It is also known as "Nadbo" or "Shahsepram." Basil is used either fresh or dried and comes in two varieties: green and purple. It is rich in water and fiber and, due to its warm nature, is beneficial for digestion of various foods. People with indigestion can use basil alongside their meals. In addition to its great taste, basil has a delightful aroma, and Iranians use it alongside kebabs.
