Leek

Leek is a type of edible onion family that is more popular than other types of onions and garlic due to its milder taste. Leek has medicinal and therapeutic properties and can be used either dried or fresh. It is cooked in various Iranian dishes, and its different types of kookoo (frittata) are also very popular. Leek, leek stalk, and scallion look very similar and are sometimes mistaken for each other. Leek is rich in B vitamins and greatly contributes to nervous system health.
