Akbari pistachio

Akbari pistachio is one of Iran’s most valuable export varieties, recognized for its elongated shape, thin shell, and deep-colored kernel. Each nut measures approximately 20–25 mm in length and contains up to 70% oleic acid, contributing to its rich flavor and nutritional profile. Cultivated mainly in Rafsanjan and Anar regions, it is processed as raw or dry-roasted salted, maintaining moisture levels below 5%. Known internationally as Premium Grade Iranian Pistachio, it is packaged in vacuum-sealed or aluminum-laminated pouches resistant to light exposure, ensuring long shelf life and preservation of its natural oil and characteristic aroma.
