Special Resistant Portland Cement (SRPC)

SRPC is specially formulated by keeping the Tricalcium Aluminate ($C_3A$) content below 5% to prevent destructive chemical reactions between external sulfates and the concrete matrix. When concrete is exposed to soil or groundwater with high sulfate concentrations, this cement prevents expansion and subsequent cracking. It is primarily used in foundations, retaining walls, sewage pipes, and offshore structures.
